Stewardship
The Stewardship Committee's mission is to help members of the parish learn to follow Jesus more faithfully in the use of their “time, talent, and treasure.” The primary focus of the committee is an annual stewardship campaign, in which each member of the parish is encouraged to pledge their financial support to the church for the coming year. This support is essential for the continuance of the church’s many ministries, as well as the upkeep of the buildings.
Pledging is not just important for the financial operations of the church, it is also a sign of our commitment and connection to this community and to God. Pledging a specific amount both encourages a spiritual discipline of giving to God and provides a means for the vestry to budget more effectively.
If you would like to make a pledge to CHT, please use our online pledge form or contact the parish office (office@htrit or 215-567-1267) to request a pledge card.
FAQ’s About Pledging What is a Pledge? A Pledge is a promise of financial commitment to support the work and ministry of The Church of the Holy Trinity. The Pledge is indicated in writing. It has no legal standing and may be altered at any time if personal circumstances change.
Why do I need to Pledge? I need to pledge to allow orderly financial planning of the church and to indicate my willing commitment to the faith community at CHT. This has always been seen as part of the spiritual life.
How can I make a Pledge? I can make a Pledge online or by completing a Pledge Card addressed to the Parish Office. The Pledge may be paid any time during the year. Dated envelopes are provided to make regular giving easier.
How much do I Pledge? The Christian church has taught for years that the giving of one tenth (tithe) is Biblical teaching. For most of us, 10% may seem like an impossible goal. Because of this, many Christians begin by pledging a percentage of, say, 2% or more with a commitment to try to increase that year by year.
