Adult Education
Inquirer’s Classes
Offered periodically and provide a safe place where questions are encouraged, the Christian faith is explored, and the traditions of the Episcopal Church are examined. These courses are designed for those who are considering Christianity for the first time, for those who are new or are returning to the Episcopal Church after a long absence, and for members who simply want to know more about our church. Please contact the Rector, Rev. Alan Neale 215.567.1267.
Bible Studies
Offered throughout the year in home group settings. This year Bible Study participants have explored the Acts of the Apostles, the Creation stories, and the Book of Psalms. The group looks at the book’s historical roots, the community for which it was written, and how it affects our lives today.
Book Groups
Occasionally meets to read and discuss a book that may be on the bestseller list. These groups may explore how our faith affects our reading of the book, and how the book affects our lived faith. In the past year we have read together Those Episcopalians and ThePurpose-Driven Life.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
Presented by Scott Jones
The Gospel According To Abraham (Beginning 9/21):
The scope of the Bible is as big as you can imagine. It’s a cosmic story about a lovesick God determined
to heal the world and make it whole, no matter what the cost. But God’s universal plan is always carried on
through particular people in particular times and places. God starts with one man and his wife, one family that becomes a people that becomes a nation to heal the nations. That man is Abraham, and this Fall we’ll consider how God worked in his life and what it teaches us about how God works in ours.
Lectures and Forums
Provides an opportunity to further explore issues of interest with an expert (or experts) on the matter. These are presented on various topics throughout the year. We are always seeking to bring in topics and speakers that will appeal to the congregation, and we welcome suggestions!
